I have been diabetic for almost 20 years. There have been some major changes in my life. I’ve learned that I can’t eat like everyone else. But I have control over my intake. So, I try to moderate and exercise. My main problem is what works for others, doesn’t work for me. It’s like the saying, if I go left, everyone else goes right. Injecting insulin increases belly fat which fills every fat cell it can find. And while the doctors know this, they keep saying lose weight! There are all kinds of how to s. If you do this, this is the result. Gimmicks and hypes. Diet and exercise will work. One thing that was excellent for me was spinning. It didn’t do anything for my abs but I did lose weight. I’m walking and dancing daily now. When the weather gets better, I will be outside gardening. I’ve had steroids in the last two months combatting bronchial pneumonia. Weight gain from meds is also an issue. I just have to take one day at a time and keep a positive attitude.
